OUR PRIVACY POLICY PROTECTS YOUR DATA

Your privacy is important to us. At Clinical Massage MK, we will ask you for personal information so we can provide the services requested. We take the privacy of your personal information seriously and to better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our practices about the way your information is collected and used.

WHAT PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT AND WHY WE COLLECT IT

When you fill in a contact or comment form on any of our websites, you are asked to provide your name and email address. If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

When you complete a booking request via our booking system you provide us with personal information including your name, email address, personal address, phone number and some health information. We need this information for the smooth running of our massage service.

ONLINE PAYMENT

You also supply financial information via one of two third-party applications Stripe, Paypal and Sum Up. Stripe’s privacy policy can be found here, and PayPal’s here. All payment information will be taken through these payment processors. We are not exposed to and do not store any of your financial information.

ANALYTICS

Like many websites, we use Google Analytics to collect anonymous data about the users of our sites, such as how often they visit, what pages they visit, what time they visit, how long they stay, and what country they are visiting from.

This data is collected using cookies and from your IP address, and the resulting statistics are used for the following purposes:

  • Improving website usability
  • Tracking the success of marketing campaigns
  • Pattern analysis

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting this information by installing the Google opt-out browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

We also monitor customer browsing habits through a WordPress-developed capability called Jetpack. This will retain analytics about website use on the WordPress servers.

COOKIES

Cookies are small text files that are used to store small pieces of information. If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for up to two years. Clinical Massage MK provides links to other websites in good faith and for information only. Clicking on those links or enabling those connections may allow third parties to collect or share information about you. We have no control over these third parties and we are not responsible for the content of such websites or for the privacy policies or practices of such third parties. WHO WE SHARE YOUR DATA WITH

When you contact Clinical Massage MK, your data is not shared with anyone else.

HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR DATA

We need to retain your information (including your personal information, where applicable) for as long as you remain a client of the services in order for us to meet our contractual obligations to you, and for such longer periods as are legally required or permitted.

We keep your information on our system for up to 8 years. This is because our insurance providers require that consultation forms for our clients are kept for this long.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely.

Information sent over via the contact form will also be retained indefinitely for future reference unless you request otherwise

WHAT RIGHTS YOU HAVE OVER YOUR DATA

If you have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

WHERE WE SEND YOUR DATA

Visitor comments are checked through an automated spam detection service.

HOW WE PROTECT YOUR DATA

We treat all data with the utmost care and take appropriate steps in compliance with data protection regulation to ensure it is kept safe. It is stored within our host provider’s data centre.

  • All data we collect is done so over encrypted connections (https).
  • All data is stored behind the state of the art firewalls, managed by our host provider’s security team.
  • All data is access controlled to ISO27001 standards via our host provider.
  • All systems storing personal data have access logging maintained by the hosting provider.
  • All systems are subject to regular penetration testing and are monitored for vulnerabilities and attacks by the hosting provider.

DATA BREACH PROCEDURE

Affected customers will be notified as soon as we are made aware of any data breach by our host provider.
